Resize the page content

I am using the Joomlead Dream template.
I am trying to make the page content take up more of the visible space; there are large spaces either side of the portfolio (in the demo).
To do this, I have changed the Mainbar size to 90%. But nothing changes.
I have done this on the Base Layout, the Default, the Body Only, Offline and Error layouts.

What am I missing?

Can you capture the screen of your problem?

mainbar in main container, when aside and sidebar is empty the mainbar size is 100%.

Does that give you enough info?
It is the same on all the other Layouts in the drop down.
