Editing Generator Tag

Looking to edit the generator tag
<meta name=”generator” content=”Joomla! – Open Source Content Management” />

Did the usual J! Identifier bit via template > index.php
// edit meta tag generator
JFactory::getDocument()->setGenerator(‘Put my own identifier in’);

Not a happening thing in Green Nature
Any pointers?

Open index.php file then add
$this->setGenerator(null);
