I can not seem to get pass this error

Error — Call to undefined function json_decode()

Can anyone help me out?

Please re-download the package and try again. We just updated the akeeba component and Helix3 framework 2.5.8

I have done this and got it to install but I can not edit the theme now I have sppro how do I edit the theme images text etc…..
