I have checked and triple checked my work, but I can’t seem to get JL Video Background particle to appear in my particle list.

Here is a link to a screen shot that shows what I have done. Hopefully you’ll see something I can’t.

    I’m using WordPress version 5.

    Thanks.

    Hi Randy,
Please check the particles folder and custom->particles folder. Did you find duplicate particles in both folders ? If so, please remove the jlvideobackground at particles folder and keep the particle locate at custom->particles folder only.
Is it possible to access to back-end to check ?

    No. It’s not duplicated.

Don’t know if it matters, but this particle does show up as an Atom in the system, but that doesn’t do me any good.

Yes, I can give you access to the Dashboard, if that’s what you’re asking. My dev server is actually my desktop machine.

    Hi Randy,
The video background is ATOM not particle type. Please go to base outline -> page settings -> see https://imgur.com/a/orqsqUp

You need to config the section ID for the background video particle, you can check your site layout to find the section id like so https://imgur.com/a/Q1YlT4C

I did enter the section ID in the atom as you suggested and this still doesn’t work. In the atom settings, I entered g-header, which is the header ID, but it’s still not showing up.

Okay, my apologies. I think I got it. Unfortunately, Header is not identified as a section, but I’ll figure that part out.

Next question: Can this only draw from YouTube videos? Is there a way I can use a video on my own server?

    Hi Randy,
We will plan to add local video (html5 video format) in next update.
    Thank you
