In my installation no pictures where shown, in every particle.
Joomla 3.9
In the first trail, the cards not shown.
Ulkit 3 is activated in layout.

Its hard to check without live site. The issue with image not showing related to ukit lib is missing.
Please let me know if you put your site live so I can take a closer look on it
