I had this update problem with the Unit Slider also recently and now again, as you said here.
Tony sent me a download link, about which the update worked. However, this is probably not a solution that can be permanent.
Tony: How can we solve the update problem of the Unit Slider?

However, this is my second Simpli template, which I install and at the first installation both fields domain cookie and cookie path (as described in the installation info) just not empty. Once empty, once not empty – strange!
